Forensic Equity prides itself on having an unrivalled reputation for employing the best and most experienced forensic scientists in the industry
In many drugs cases the scientific evidence is relatively straightforward i.e. confined to the identification of drugs. These cases merely involve a statement of fact with little or no interpretation. However, some of the more serious drugs offences, such as production, require a significant amount of expert interpretation and opinion before a prosecution for such an offence could be considered.
Do you have a suspected drugs production case, which you feel should be committed for trial, but, based on the analyses already carried out and the scientific statements so far received, it appears to lack the strength of evidence necessary to pursue a prosecution?
Our scientists have many years of experience in examining and reporting complex drugs cases, involving advanced case strategies and expert interpretation of the evidence.
The attendance of forensic scientists at drugs scenes is a relatively rare occurrence nowadays. Many forensic drugs scientists, who are currently practising, will never have the opportunity to attend a scene and will therefore lack some of the necessary experience to fully interpret the significance of the evidence available from them, particularly where drugs production set-ups have been partially dismantled by the perpetrators and only photographic evidence of the scene is available.
Do you have what you believe were a linked set of cannabis factories where all of the plants and some of the equipment have been removed, but cannabis traces and other evidence remain. Have you apprehended the suspected perpetrators and you still wish to pursue a prosecution? Have you recorded those scenes photographically?
Our forensic scientists have many years of hands on scene going experience and possess the necessary expertise to interpret the true nature of scenes, even those that have been partially dismantled and for which only photographic evidence exists.
Complex drugs cases potentially involving multiple complex drugs examinations, such as multiple comparisons of drugs and packaging or multiple stages in a drugs dilution operation may be difficult to manage successfully and require a high degree of expertise in case strategy and management.
Do you have a serious drugs offence case, where large numbers of exhibits have been seized, but it is not clear which of them may be significant and you are unsure which ones to submit for analysis or what examinations to ask for to obtain best evidence
Our scientists have years of experience in working their way methodically and systematically through cases with a maze of exhibits and planning and executing complex case strategies, in order to obtain best evidence to support a successful prosecution.
