Dr Lyle is currently a Consulting Clinical Psychologist in full-time private practice. He is an Adult Mental Health specialist, but has also worked in Learning Difficulties and in a General Hospital environment for appreciable periods of time.
Specialist Expertise
Dr Lyle has specialist expertise in Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Attention Deficit Disorders. In Adult Mental Health he has particular interests in Severe Anxiety Disorders, in Panic Disorders, and PTSD. He offers assessment and treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and has seen employees of concerns from Hewlett Packard, Allied Steel and Wire, Celsa, Prudential, Citibank, Marks & Spencer, Avon & Somerset Constabulary, as well as seeing many private individuals who have suffered traumatic industrial and road traffic accidents, both for treatment, and as an expert witness writing reports in civil injury cases.
Dr Lyle has further accumulated considerable experience in criminal justice matters, and has appeared as an expert before various tribunals and in several Crown Courts. He travels widely throughout Wales and the South West in connection with his work, and is available to travel further afield, including continental Europe.
